This privacy policy describes the personal information practices of LOREM Inc., lorem, lorem.co, lorem.biz and other websites and applications owned and operated by LOREM Inc (“we” “us” “LOREM”). First and foremost, LOREM Inc, is a Canadian-based company, governed by Canadian law, that creates products, services, and experiences, for those who are 21-years of age or older. We here at LOREM care deeply about your privacy and we want to ensure you know exactly what information we gather and why we need it.

If you have registered for membership, you can control (opt-out and/or opt-in) what type of marketing communication you receive in your MyAccount Dashboard. Keep in mind, your email address is NOT shared with our advertisers.

Even if you have opted out of receiving marketing communications from us, please be aware that we may still contact you for other purposes. For example, we may contact you to provide communications you have consented to receive, regarding the products or services we provide to you, or if you contact us with an inquiry.

Transfers and disclosures of personal information

We will not disclose personal information to any external organization without your consent unless we are required or permitted to do so by law, including in the event of a corporate amalgamation, reorganization, change of control or sale.

LOREM operates within a regulated environment, for those 21 years of age and older. We value your right to freedom of speech and privacy, but we do operate with a strong respect for the law and wellness of our community. Should LOREM have evidence of an individual and/or group conducting illegal activities, participating in hate speech, intimidation, manipulation, harming oneself or others, we may release personal identifiable information to the respective authorities, where permitted by law.

Your personal information may be stored, processed or otherwise used by us, our affiliates or our service providers, both inside and outside of Canada. For example, we use Stripe, a global leader in payment processing, to process payments.

Where our service provider is located outside of Canada, that country's courts, governments or law enforcement agencies could obtain disclosure of your information in accordance with that country's laws. Whenever we hire other organizations to provide support services, they will be required to conform to our privacy standards and to allow us to audit them for compliance.

Security and retention

We take all reasonable steps to protect the security and confidentiality of your personal information. We protect the personal information within our custody or control with appropriate organizational, technological and physical safeguards.
